LUTURY Color + FX Suite brings two DCTL plugins together for DaVinci Resolve Studio: Color Editor for precise, per-color control and FX for texture, detail and stylize effects.

Know what you need

• DaVinci Resolve Studio (the paid version) is required. DCTL plugins do not run in the free version of DaVinci Resolve.
• Add both plugins on the Color page via Effects > DCTL, on any node.

LUTURY Color Editor (8 color bands)

• 8 color bands: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Aqua, Blue, Purple and Magenta, each with Hue, Saturation and Brightness.
• Smooth blending: neighboring bands blend into each other, with no banding or harsh edges.
• Protected grays and whites: only real colors are affected.
• Vibrance: boosts dull colors more than strong ones, so skin doesn’t go orange.
• Film Density: saturated colors get deeper and richer, like film stock, while neutrals are untouched.
• Safe on any node: every slider does nothing at 0, and it runs in real time.

LUTURY FX (9 effects)

• Noise Reduction: Edge-Aware Smooth (keeps edges sharp) or Kuwahara Painterly.
• Sharpen: applied to brightness only, so there are no color fringes.
• Clarity: midtone local contrast. Negative values give a soft, dreamy look.
• Edge Processor: Edge Enhance, Ink Outline or Edges Only.
• Scatter: a frosted-glass pixel scatter.
• Mist & Aura Diffusion: optical diffusion with highlight bloom and soft haze.
• Lens Edge Blur: a sharp center with soft, vintage-lens edges.
• Stylize: Halftone, CMYK Halftone, Stippler or Hatching.
• Letterbox: 2.39 Cinemascope, 2.00 Univisium, 1.85 Theatrical or 4:3 Classic.

Every effect is off until you switch it on, and sizes scale with resolution, so HD and 4K look the same. Noise Reduction (especially Kuwahara) and large Mist sizes are the heaviest effects. They may not play back in real time in 4K, but they render fine.
